Opening of the waterfront in the Sausā Daugava

🌦 Today, the fun trip of eight experts in a rubber boat over the Sausā Daugava rapids became a mockery, adventure, and the first time this season to get their feet wet. We also discussed the idea of a wetland trail to the Daugava Museum.

🛶 The Society “Waterfront Development” has completed the implementation of the LEADER public infrastructure project “Sudrabgārņa krasts”. In cooperation with the Society “Partnership Daugavkrasts” and the co-funding of Ķekava Municipality, a terrace with a canopy has been created, a place for recreation has been arranged and boat stalls have been installed.  The project complements the previously implemented LEADER project “Sudrabgārņa ligzda”, where the pontoon and boardwalk were purchased for the rowers’ shore.

In turn, one nine-seater lifeboat, a two-axle trailer for carrying the boat and a metal structure specially designed for this trailer for transporting sports boats were purchased in the project “Sudrabgārņa mobilitāte un drošība”(“Mobility and safety…”).
